In a brand development process, defining the culture of an organization is one of the most important steps. It sets the tone for how the branding, marketing, and strategic content positions the company and how my team will execute on the design items to further that communication. In the pursuit of building a unique customer experience and a culture that enrolls local and out-of-the-area patrons, our client Downtown Windsor, CA aimed to build a brand centered around belonging.

Downtown Windsor sits at the northern edge of the Sonoma County Wine region. Known for the famed Russian River Brewery and its beloved Town Green, this is the place to be. When they started working with us, they envisioned creating an experience that was inclusive and celebrated the diverse community of small businesses that make up the organization.
The brand strategy for the Downtown Windsor Merchants takes an inclusive approach to elevate their community of small businesses, creating an interconnected culture and vibrant experience for their customers. The vision for the website was to create a digital framework that could grow with the featured businesses, local events & communication needs of the business. By focusing all brand language on creating a sense of freedom to “belong” the diversity of each merchant is able to shine within the framework of this brand.

Business Highlights:
In the social strategy and website strategy, beautiful and engaging business highlights were a central focus. During our launch campaign, the goal was to highlight local businesses, welcome & encourage visitors to the downtown area & align with the values of the Town of Windsor. We built an experience for each participating small business and highlight their offering on this central hub for the community.
